Ad-Apocalypse 2017: How To Survive!

And importantly, we must remember that YouTube is a platform to spread the word about your brand for FREE.  They don't owe you any money and Ad revenue is a perk from using the platform regularly.

Even if you are not making revenue on the site, you are still gaining an audience that you can ask to support you on Patreon, your special projects or purchase your related merchandise.

Do not give up hope if advertisers are not paying you.  Remember that YouTube didn't always pay it's users and should be a supplemental revenue, not your main one or you'll surely have problems sustaining a living from it.
